Trees in the City

Saturday 23 July, 9.30am to 11.30am at North Freo Social Farm

We are delighted to present this workshop with Jeremy Thomas, Senior Urban Forest Officer from the City of Fremantle. Jeremey has a  passion for trees in the city and he will share some insights on the urban tree canopy project he is managing in Freo. Jeremy will also provide advice on factors to consider when selecting trees for your situation and why we’ve chosen the trees we have for our Farm setting. He will discuss the use of a root barrier, nutrient and water needs, pruning and maintenance. Then together with Jeremy’s guidance, we will plant our new Farm trees!

This workshop includes a morning tea and if you come a few minutes early or stay after you can have a wander through our special little urban farm.
